Millennia ago, a vengeful deity, immensely powerful even by god standards, sought to extinguish all life by creating a comet infused with the Void—a life-consuming essence—and sending it hurtling toward the world.

To stop it, the goddess Sanmara wove a cosmic tapestry trapping the comet within its interdimensional strands. To complete her craft, she needed to grasp the comet’s true essence. In an act of divine sacrifice, she plucked out her left eye and entrusted it to a legendary general leading an army of giants and humans to the comet’s heart.

Aboard a colossal flying ship made from another goddess’s body, the army crash-landed on the comet. Amidst hordes of monsters, they fought to reach the core, where the giant general pressed the Eye of Sanmara into the comet’s Void-infested heart. The comet vanished, sealed within the tapestry.

But within that demiplane, time marched on. Generations of survivors adapted to the demiplane, their culture shaped by the Void’s hum. Those near the core formed a death cult, prophesying a "Chosen One" who would wield the Void’s power and tear open the sky. Eons later, Thanaeas was born—a giant so attuned to the Void that he forged a blade from its essence, embedding the Eye of Sanmara within it. Through the eye, he glimpsed the material world and began slicing through the tapestry’s fabric.

In the material world, the tapestry’s current guardian, Solvaris, pricked herself on Thanaeas’s blade while examining the damage. Her wound triggered a spell that imprisoned her within the comet, where her life essence is being siphoned to power the Voidstone Blade.

The characters arrive with a mission to venture inside the tapestry and stop its unravelling before it is too late.
